Another
wannabe who is an
executive member of an ex-services organisation.
(ESO)
Day is the
President of Toowoomba
(QLD) RSL, it's Sub-Branch, and a life member
of the VVAA NSW
Branch Inc.
This individual
who demands to be addressed as
"Doctor Day", is also
a Frontiersman,
just like Ponting, Weatherall and Ryan who appear on
our site.

Brian Day did serve
with the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam
(AATTV) from April 1971 to April 1972, his second
tour.
Before it was
removed due to being challenged by Veterans, Day's
CV was posted on a Blue Mountains Vietnam Veteran's
website and it clearly stated,
"1967 - Posted to HQ
Australian Forces Vietnam - Australian Army Training
Team, US Special Forces"
For all you Veterans who have ever heard
Brian Day's war
stories and wondered why
his service history does not appear on the
Vietnam Veteran's Nominal Roll
as shown below.

Here's why, on
his first tour he claims was with
AATTV and US Special Forces, he was actually
a Corporal Batman, ECN 175, for 8
months with HQ AFV (Saigon) and then an
instructor at 1ARU, a Rifleman, ECN 757.
He had been a Batman in
Australia for quite some time as well.
These details have
been cut from his Army records.

"Unit. now HQ AFV (Army Component) as Batman ECN 175
28 Jan 1967"
"Unit. now 1 Aust Rft
Unit (Rft Str)=(Reinforcement Strength) 2 Oct 67"
A Batman?
An Orderly, a Soldier who attended to mundane
daily tasks for Officers.
1ARU?
1 Australian Reinforcement Unit, Nui Dat. He was a
Corporal and Section
Commander with this unit that trained newly
arrived Infantry reinforcements.
What we would like
from you readers is your input into the Brian Day
story. Have you heard his tall tales of war
service and would like them confirmed or
denied? Would you like to comment on any of his
wild tales? Do you have any doubts about the
badges and awards he wears? The
photo below depicts Day on the left sitting beside
Barry Wright showing off Day's awards. Both appear on our site pages. Both are worth
reading.

At last, Brian
Day admits that his first tour
in Vietnam was not with the AATTV and attached
to US Special Forces as he had told people over
the past almost 40 years.
A snip from his
bio as presented by the Blue Mountains Veterans
Group.
1967 - Posted to HQ
Australian Forces Vietnam - Australian Army
Training Team Vietnam, US Special Forces.
A snip from the
Toowoomba Chronicle article shown below.
"I've always been open about what I did
that year," he said. "In 1967 I was posted to HQ
AFV Saigon – I spent about eight months in
administration and four months training
reinforcements.
Now that the cat's out of the
bag, Mr. Day confirms the information we
originally presented as fact.
Toowoomba Chronicle
Front Page - Dr Brian DAY, 11 May 2006.
Read his news
article response to our charges of him being
one of the most outrageous wannabes who ever
drew breath. ANZMI has received no
communications from Day's legal advisors.
Note the opening
statement and the capitalisation of the first
two words.
"HE HAS faced the
enemy over the front lines in Vietnam, but Brian
Day is now fighting a bloody battle to save his
reputation"
Where and when
did you ever face the enemy Brian Day?
